Manchester, the birthplace of industry and innovation, has the fastest growing economy outside of London and is at the heart of plans to rebalance the UK economy.

Our reputation for excellence has evolved over more than fifty years in the City. We have contributed to some of Manchester’s world-class cultural and sporting institutions. The Bridgewater HallManchester City Football Club’s Etihad Stadium and Chetham’s School of Music make Manchester a diverse and exciting place to live.

We have collaborated to transform the City’s civic assets and public spaces, integrating essential transport corridors; including the ambitious redevelopment of St Peter’s Square, Central Library and Manchester Town Hall extension.

Our building engineers have delivered many inspiring building projects. At the Manchester School of Art, we designed an engaging and lively space fit for the 21st Century. CityLabs a refurbished, former Grade II listed Royal Eye Hospital, boasts a new concept in high-specification flexible office and laboratory space. And in 2014, we began work on The University of Manchester’s largest capital project ever undertaken – Manchester Engineering Campus Development.

We have designed and expanded transport infrastructure at Manchester Airport and across the City’s Metrolink network. Our enhancement and renewal of the railway, including remodelling Piccadilly Station and electrification of the line between Liverpool and Manchester has improved connectivity throughout the region. We have developed a Sustainable Energy Action Plan and flood strategies to provide sustainable and resilient urban infrastructure for the future.

Advocating citywide regeneration, our expertise in planning and reclaiming major sites is evident at First Street, the former Shell site at Carrington and Manchester’s NOMA development. And our 3D City Model has played a vital role in visualising future development plans. Our latest revolutionary auralisation studio, known as SoundLab - enables our clients and collaborators to listen to soundscapes of the natural and built environment before they are physically created.

Our team have used their knowledge and skills to shape projects worldwide, including the Beijing National StadiumSongdo Central Park and Copenhagen Arena.
