Wet Networks

Pinsent Masons and Arup are the stakeholders in the ongoing series of Wet Network events. These events provide a platform for young companies with interesting technology innovations in the water space who are looking for funding to present to potential funders and other interested parties. They also provide a medium for networking and exchange of ideas between senior players in the water technology space.

About the network

Not since the industrial revolution has the water industry been subject to so much change. Technology innovation compounded with political, social and environmental uncertainty means great challenges for the industry. However, these factors can also provide opportunities to those able to exploit them. The global industry is estimated at $400 billion with an annual growth rate of 7%. With more than 50 countries suffering water shortages, and 60% of European cities over-exploiting groundwater, technology companies and entrepreneurs have an opportunity to help us to adapt to this challenging environment.

The Wet Networking Series was developed by Pinsent Masons LLP and aims to bring together clean technology companies in the water sector, with investors, advisors and corporate organisations. With 16 years’ experience in the water sector, Pinsent Masons LLP brings to the Wet Network series a wealth of knowledge, combined with an extensive network of contacts from across the water industry.
