Arup appoints new infrastructure leader

26 Mar 2012

Arup is pleased to announce the appointment of Bruce Tanner to lead the firm’s 650-strong infrastructure team in Australasia.

Bruce, who currently leads Arup’s infrastructure business in Queensland, will take over the role as Australasia Infrastructure Leader following the retirement of Frank Vromans at the end of the month.

Bruce has been with Arup for more than 20 years, and in that time has gained extensive experience in developing and driving large multidisciplinary teams carrying out complex studies for major infrastructure projects. He has a strong technical background based on direct design experience in all aspects of infrastructure works, including highways, rail, aviation and development.

“In his new role, Bruce will draw on his strong leadership ability and in-depth knowledge and understanding of infrastructure’s role in economic and social development. Bruce has made an enormous contribution to the industry over the years and I have every confidence that he will take infrastructure to the next level.”
