Australasia Process Leader joins Melbourne office

Tung Nguyen joins Arup as our new Australasia Process Leader and will lead the development of our work with water and wastewater treatment facilities in the Region.

With over 23 years’ experience in the water industry, including significant roles on the Victorian Desalination Plant, with a production capacity of 150 billion litres of water a year, and the Perth Desalination Plant, which produces 45 billion litres of fresh drinking water each year.

Tung joins a team with extensive experience working with Australian authorities on water strategies, including water sensitive design, policy and strategy, including the award winning Yarra Park Water Recycled Facility.

Our international experience on projects including the world’s largest Sludge Treatment Works in Hong Kong and our strategic partnership with Yorkshire Water on a novel approach to the resuse of existing assets will be expertise Tung will look to bring to the Australasian Region.

Tung's water and wastewater experience has covered over a wide range of industries including; seawater desalination, ultra pure water for semiconductor industry and power plant, mining and mineral processing, municipal and industrial.
