Bochnia Economic Activity Zone

  • Infrastructure concept design for new economic activity zone.
  • Feasibility study and Environmental Impact Assessment.
  • Creation of a financial schedule for the investment process.

Bochnia is a city located 40km away from Krakow in an industrial area. Particularly the salt mining industry made this city grow. The local council decided to establish the Bochnia Economic Activity Zone (BSAG) and support the entrepreneurs.

Functional layout

Arup prepared an infrastructure concept design for media services and access roads. The main purpose of the design was to use and arrange the land offered to investors in the best way possible. In its functional layout, the BSAG is therefore divided into 14 modules with an area of 1.5 to 3ha each.

The proposed utility infrastructure of the BSAG includes high reliability ring gas, water supply networks, foul and surface water drainage network and approximately 3km of on-site roads.

Feasibility, environment and finance

Our team prepared a feasibility study for the project, as well as an Environmental Impact Assessment and a financial schedule for the investment process.

As part of the project, promotional products were provided, including a brochure, a guide for investors and a multimedia presentation of BSAG.
