Istanbul Metro Kaynarca Line

  • Development of a 9.7km long Kaynarca Central-Pendik-Tuzla Tersane Metro Line and Pendik Central-Kaynarca Central Underground Rail System (metro) Line.
  • Multidisciplinary metro design feasibility study, preliminary and final design.

Istanbul is a booming city facing immense challenges in trying to accommodate additional 84,000 cars every year. The increase in motor vehicles is faster that the population growth. Metro projects all around the city have been developed to overcome the transport issues of one of Europe’s largest city.

New links for the city

We have been awarded a multidisciplinary preliminary and final design engineering study on an underground rail system (metro) project linking the main districts of the city of the city. The client will tender the line for construction following the completion of design.

The project consists of approximately 9.7km long metro line with six stations, which have been determined within the framework of the Istanbul Metropolitan Area Integrated Urban Transportation Plan.

We are responsible for determining the locations of the stations and the operating scenarios, the multidisciplinary design of the stations and depot area, preparing the construction plans of the selected route and of the financial and economic feasibility studies.

Multidisciplinary design includes structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and ICT design of stations together with preparation of design basis documents.
