As natural gas becomes an increasingly popular fuel, we’re helping our clients develop more effective distribution systems, and to integrate natural gas energy systems with renewable energy systems.

Robust specialist structures

Meanwhile, offshore oil developments are shifting to less hospitable environments, such as deeper and more remote hostile offshore locations. This demands specialist, robust structures like our ground-breaking Concrete Gravity Substructures (CGS), steel Gravity Based Structures (GBS) and ACE Platforms which can be self-installed economically and withstand extreme ocean and environmental conditions.

As well as new structures and adaptations like CGS White Rose extension project for Husky Energy, we work with clients to optimise and extend the life of their existing structures. At the end of the field life we develop and lead decommissioning strategies.

We’ve written a number of reports in conjunction with leading oil and gas decommissioning bodies in the UK, looking at how the sector could benefit from developments in innovation which in turn can lead to substantial cost savings on decommissioning projects.

Innovative and independent

For the growing LNG market we advise on technical and financing strategies. We engineer solutions for floating (FLNG) to power projects, marine terminal jetties and LNG storage tanks. Our work on LNG tanks includes the innovative All-Concrete tank and the patent-pending modular tank for mid-scale projects. Our work includes three recently completed Australian LNG export marine terminals and the innovative Energia Costa Azul LNG receival terminal in Mexico.

For unconventional gas, we acted as independent advisers for the first ever planning and environmental impact assessment applications in the UK. In the Netherlands we are providing a broad range of technical expertise to advise on ground surface movements, we are helping deliver gas pipelines in Ireland and we have provided due diligence advice on their asset value to DONG. We aren't tied to particular contractors or under obligation to any shareholders. This means our advice on LNG, natural gas and oil related developments is truly independent, centred on your interests.
